Alexander Zwick is a Los Angeles-based writer, composer, and lyricist whose work spans musical theatre, songwriting, articles, and educational writing.

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he developed a love of musical theatre early, from seeing Starlight Express on Broadway to playing the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance at drama camp.

After graduating from UCLA, Alexander worked in television before becoming an elementary school teacher for twenty years. Throughout those years, he continued writing music and scripts. Each year, his fourth-grade class performed an original musical that he wrote, produced, and directed; those musicals are now licensed to schools around the world.

Today, Alexander develops musical-theatre projects, writes and releases original music, and writes articles and travel pieces. His current work includes the musical Swagger and his album Seven Doors.
