Alexander Zwick is a writer and composer based in Los Angeles.
He has had a love of musical theater since he was a child and saw Starlight Express on Broadway. The passion only increased when he starred as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance in drama camp when he was twelve.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he graduated from UCLA and then worked in television for a few years before becoming an elementary school teacher for twenty years, all the while pursuing music, songwriting, and screenwriting.
Each year, his fourth grade class performed an original musical which he wrote, produced, and directed. He now licenses those musicals to schools around the world. Meanwhile, with aspirations for Broadway, he has been collaborating with lyricists and librettists on various musical theater projects. His original rock/pop music including his most recent album “Fairy Tales” can be found on streaming platforms.
